Wave energy converter

Wave energy converter - SBM offshore here in the Principality has announced plans to test the first wave energy converter. Monaco, a pioneering state in environmental matters will see tests carried out in Monegasque waters by 2021. For twelve months, long, submerged rubber tubes will follow wave movements and convert them directly into electricity. A system presented as reliable, efficient, and environmentally friendly.

The Monegasque government has reportedly agreed to provide a site in Fontvieille for the testing.
