Pony rental bikes temporarily withdrawn from circulation in Nice - Just two weeks after their arrival, the “Pony” rental bikes in Nice have been temporarily withdrawn from circulation. The reason is due to a "manufacturing defect on the bikes battery". Pony has temporarily withdrawn from circulation the 1,000 self-service bicycles deployed in 12 municipalities in the Nice Côte d'Azur metropolis since February 20th. Whist it is a precautionary measure it not yet known for how long the service will be out of order. The Pony team are looking for an alternative solution to re-equip the bikes and allow the people of Nice to enjoy using them again as quickly as possible.
