Parents take action due to teachers not being replaced

Parents take action due to teachers not being replaced - Parents of students have launched a collective action against the French State for teachers who are not replaced. The group estimates that 79,000 hours of lessons are lost during the school year due to teachers not being replaced. The action denounces “a lack of the right to education from the State” and claims that each parent should be awarded compensation of 50 euros for every day affected by the absence of a teacher. 200 cases have already been filed by parents. Each parent concerned is invited to complete an online form from eight days of unreplaced absence in the school year for kindergartens and primary schools and from ten hours without a teacher for middle and high school students.
