New Therapeutic Avenue for Cancer

Cancer Research - Researchers in Nice have identified a new therapeutic avenue by studying how cancer cells bypass natural defenses, focusing on the role of telomeres and the enzyme telomerase. Their work shows that cancers rely on telomerase only in advanced stages when telomeres reach critical lengths, offering potential for targeted treatments. These findings, published in Cell Reports, may also improve immunotherapy strategies.
