Monaco Students Participate in 14th Cinema for Change Festival to Support Sustainable Development Goals

Monaco Students Participate in 14th Cinema for Change Festival to Support Sustainable Development Goals - On January 30th, nearly 500 students from Monaco gathered at the Théâtre des Variétés to vote for their favourite short film in the Children's Prize category at the 14th Cinema for Change Festival. Students from the Menton campus of Sciences Po Paris also voted for the Students' Prize.

The festival highlights short films that illustrate the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations. This year, the Prince’s Government supported three Youth Prizes to raise awareness of development and international solidarity. Marc Obéron, festival founder, presented six films to 22 classes from six Monegasque schools. The votes from students in Monaco will be combined with those from children in seven partner countries, forming a jury of over 30,000 students. Students from Sciences Po Paris also participated, viewing films for the Student Prize as part of a collaboration to promote development, human rights, and the fight against poverty. The award ceremony will take place on April 12 at the Good Planet Foundation in Paris.
