Manhunt in the Ardèche - Police have launched a manhunt in the Ardèche for 37-year-old man suspected of having fatally stabbed his father and seriously injured his mother overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday. Police have called for any witnesses. The man reportedly fled the scene armed after having called police to confess his crime.

Health council to discuss today the vaccination against covid in France for the young - France’s health council will today Wednesday 2nd June discuss the possibility of vaccination against covid for 12 to 18-year old. France’s High Authority for Health must decide this week, after the green light was given last week by the European Medicines Agency for the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine.

French Presidents starts his “tour of France” - French President Emmanuel Macron today begins his "tour of France” ahead of the regional elections and less than a year before the presidential election. The Head of State is expected today in the Lot region visiting the touristic villages of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie, Martel and Cahors.

Meanwhile French Prime Minister Jean Castex and Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly are to visit Toulon this Friday 4th June. The Prime Minister and Minister will be aboard the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier.
