Environmentalists call for action against plans to demolish the theatre and Acropolis congress centre in Nice - Environmentalists is Nice have called for action against the planned destruction of the National Theatre and the Acropolis congress centre. The mayor of Nice Christian Estrosi has announced plans to demolish both the National Theatre of Nice and the Acropolis congress centre in order to extend the Promenade du Paillon. Environmentalists however propose a "a counter-project" that "will correct the existing landscape with a green space" and have appealed to the public, inviting all citizens to join them during workshops that will take place on Tuesdays in November, to "work on proposals".

SFR confirm interruption of services - The SFR mobile phone network has confirmed that its services have been interrupted but have not revealed the reason or officially confirmed that they are fixed.
