11 year old drowns in Paillon river - Nice prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation for manslaughter after a 11 year old child drowned in the river Paillon on Wednesday afternoon. The young victim was a pupil at La Plana primary school, in La Trinité and was at the time, on a school outing. Police have opened an investigation.

Regional elections - Republican Renaud Muselier and National Rally candidate Thierry Mariani have met in Mandelieu la Napoule this morning to take part in a live debate broadcast on BFMTV ahead of Sunday’s second round of the regional elections. Both candidates are running for the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region.
