Weather warning - The Alpes Maritimes has been placed on a yellow weather alert with thunderstorms and rain forecast. The warning is in place until 9pm this evening. 

Italy - Travel bans between regions have been lifted in Italy from today Monday April 26th and in the fifteen yellow zone regions  restaurants will open their terraces and a trip to the cinema will be possible under certain conditions. As the progressive end to lockdown begins in Italy figures show that the number of new Covid cases has fallen to around 13,000 per day.

Travel is authorized between regions in the yellow zone and for travel to or from regions in the orange or red zone, you must have a vaccination certificate, a certificate attesting that you have had Covid or produce a negative covid test of less than 48 hours. These measures also apply to citizens of the European Union who wish to enter Italy. Outside the EU, only a vaccination certificate is valid. Meanwhile the curfew remains in place throughout Italy between 10pm and 5am.

Minister of Finance - France’s Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire, has announced this morning that 11 billion euros will be released in early May in the context of participatory loans, intended to help "all businesses that will be able to reinvest, rehire and recreate jobs. The system of direct participatory loans from the State is aimed at very small and small businesses whose activity has been affected by the economic consequences of Covid-19, and which have not been able to obtain a loan guaranteed by the State ( PGE).

New app for making a vaccination appointment - A new app will allow users in France to search and find the nearest available vaccination appointment in their department. The application is based on the online search tool Vite Ma Dose which rapidly shows all available Covid-19 vaccination appointments in each department. It’s available for free and is developed by the Covidtracker.fr team, which offers the same search tool online.
