Joan of Arc Statue may soon be Removed

Joan of Arc Statue - The monumental statue of Joan of Arc, installed in December 2024, may soon be removed after the administrative court annulled its commissioning contract due to a lack of competitive bidding in Nice. The court found no exceptional artistic justification for awarding the €170,000 project without public tender. If upheld, the ruling mandates the statue's removal and reimbursement of funds.
