Iconic beach in Antibes to undergo transformation

Iconic beach in Antibes to undergo transformation - An iconic beach in Antibes is getting ready to be completely renovated, with the first phase of work already underway. La Garoupe beach in Antibes will undergo changes over the next two years and the entrance to the coastal path will be made more visible. Currently and until May 2025, the area around the Le Rocher kiosk is under construction. In the meantime, Chemin de La Garoupe remains closed.

Between 2025 and 2026, the City will begin the second phase of work, which includes the area around Keller Beach and the parking lot. At the end of the work, two kiosks - La Joliette and Le Rocher, will remain. The overall program is the same as in Juan-les-Pins: leave more space for the public beach and create balconies above the sea, like the belvedere overlooking Le Rocher. In other words: 80% of the space of each Antibes beach must remain public. 20% can be privatized, as is the case at La Garoupe with Keller beach, including the two pontoons where the deckchairs are installed.
