French tourist injured in shark attack in the Seychelles

French tourist injured in shark attack in the Seychelles - A 45-year-old French tourist has been badly injured in a shark attack while swimming in the Seychelles. The French ambassador to the Indian Ocean island announced this morning that the 45-year-old tourist had been taken to hospital and was undergoing an operation following the attack.

Shark attacks are rare in this area the most recent took place in August 2011.
