French President Emmanuel Macron is to meet with Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne

French President Emmanuel Macron is to meet with Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne at noon today Monday 27th March, they will then be joined from 1:15pm by the presidents of parliamentary groups, party leaders and several ministers.

Elisabeth Borne has said she has two objectives: "to calm the country in the face of the current tensions over the reform and to speed up answers expected by the French”. The Prime Minister has given details of her method of how to continue with the reform adding that "any text presented by the government will be discussed, the method for the future is: no 49.3 outside of the financial texts."

A tenth day of action against the pension reform is expected tomorrow Tuesday 28th March. Traffic will be "severely disrupted", warned the SNCF and National Education, said that the inter-union intends to renew the strike in schools and high schools.
