French government appoints new Interior Minister

French government appoints new Interior Minister - According to French media, the former head of the Socialist Party for the 2015 regional elections in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, Christophe Castaner, has been appointed head of the Ministry of the Interior. Born in the Var he was a deputy for the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, and head of the list of the Socialist Party in the 2015 regional elections in Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. He joined Emmanuel Macron's Movement in 2016. Castaner will replace Gérard Collomb
