French actor Gerard Depardieu calls for negotiations - French actor Gerard Depardieu, a friend of President Vladimir Putin and a Russian citizen since 2013 has spoken out against the war in Ukraine and called for negotiations. Speaking to the French news agency AFP the actor said "Russia and Ukraine have always been brother countries, adding he was against the war and calling for negotiations”.
