France’s champagne capital votes against “Dry January”- As “Dry January” started for some on January 1st the city council of Epernay, the capital of champagne in France, has voted against the campaign. “Dry January” started in the UK in 2013 and 2020 is the first year that France has adopted the idea - which encourages people to refrain from consuming alcohol for the month of January.
