Forest fire

Forest fire - A forest fire has been ravaging the heights of Ventimiglia across the border in Italy since Monday and this Wednesday morning, the smell of burning has extended to the Alpes-Maritimes. The fire broke out on Monday August 8th, when lightning struck a tree, and has continued to spread since, in the town of Airole, about ten kilometers from the sea. Two Canadair and a water bomber helicopter are again expected in the area this Wednesday morning. The fire although difficult to access has not yet threatened any homes.
