Fight to help the homeless - French Minister Julien Denormandie has announced that the government plans to open an additional 14,000 temporary places for the homeless. Speaking to French media this morning and following figures published on Tuesday revealing that 612 homeless people died in France in 2018 Denormandie added that while “some of the places would be temporary during the winter months others would be permanent”. There are currently 146,000 emergency shelters in France.
