Air quality in the Alpes-Maritimes has improved according to AtmoSud. Authorities monitoring air pollution in our region said that air quality improved significantly between 2017 and 2022 in the Alpes-Maritimes, thanks to the drop in pollutant emissions, in particular nitrogen dioxide emitted by vehicles. However, it said that the trend is less marked in some residential and industrial sectors and it is therefore necessary to continue "collective efforts to improve air quality".

The prospect of industrial action on the trains at Christmas seems less likely after an agreement between the SNCF and two unions. The UNSA and the CFDT signed the agreement regarding salary increases by yesterday's deadline. However, two other unions, the CGT and SUD Rail weren't part of the agreement. The four unions are scheduled to meet next week but it's believed that other matters will be discussed, not industrial action over the Christmas period.
