Covid figures

Covid figures – The latest figures published by Public Health France on Saturday November 26th, have shown that there were 48,331 new cases of covid identified within 24 hours. An increase of 2.6% compared to the previous Saturday. As of November 21st, only 8.6% of 60–79-year-olds eligible for a booster had received one. France’s minister of health has warned of a resurge in the number of covid cases on a national level in France. The new vaccine booster campaign against Covid-19 began on October 3rd and is recommended for people over the age of 60, those residing in nursing homes, people at risk of a severe form of the disease and those living in their entourage as well as for professionals in the health sector. The booster can be done three months after the last injection received by people aged 80 and over. It can be administered from six months after the last injection for other people. In the event of a recent Covid-19 infection, a three-month period must be allowed between contamination and the booster dose.
