Celebrations for the centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III - Celebrations for the Centenary of the birth of Prince Rainier III begin today Wednesday 31st May, in the Principality with a festival organized on the Rock. 21 cannon shots will be fired at 2.15pm this afternoon to mark the start of the celebrations which will take place at the Place du Palais, the forecourt of the Cathedral, Place Saint-Nicolas, Oceanographic Museum, Place de la Mairie, and the Saint Martin Gardens. The event is reserved for Monegasques, residents and friends of the Principality. 45,000 invitations have been sent out.

Today’s programme:

- At 2:30 p.m. Inauguration of the sculpture trail, at the Malizia statue.

- At 3 p.m. Visit of the exhibition The Prince at His Home, Rainier III in Images (1923-2005) in the State Apartments of the Prince's Palace.

- Presence of the artist Mr OneTeas (3:00 p.m. to 7:40 p.m.) and the Palladienne of Monaco (3:00 p.m. to 3:10 p.m.).

- At 3:25 p.m. The Little Singers of Monaco

- 3.40 p.m. and 6.40 p.m. Two parades of vintage cars from the Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco.

- At 3.50 p.m. The Children's Choir of the Music Academy of Prince Rainier-III.

- At 4.10 p.m. La Troupe du Circus Bingo Theatre.

- At 4.45 p.m. U Cantin d’A Roca.

- At 5:15 p.m. The Glenn Miller Band.

- At 5.50 p.m. The Rosati Jazz Sextet orchestra.

- At 6:15 p.m. The release of 100 doves by school children in Monaco.

- At 6:30 p.m. The orchestra of the Prince's Carabinieri

- At 7 p.m. The Warm-Up Jazz Band.

- At 7:45 p.m. The Eric Giausserand Quintet Cool Jazz orchestra.

- At 9 p.m. The Rendez-Vous musette orchestra.

- At 9:15 p.m. The birthday cake all over the Rock.
