Weather warning - The Alpes Maritimes remains on a yellow weather alert with heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds forecast. The warning was issued on Sunday evening at 6pm and will remain in place until noon.
In addition, the Vendée and 25 other departments were placed on orange weather warning for thunderstorms and rain, in the Southwest.
Car gets washed away in Grasse - Meanwhile heavy rain in the region has already seen some local in inland areas suffer from floods. In Grasse an empty vehicle was washed away becoming trapped under a bridge on the Chemin du Lac. Emergency services were quick to intervene, lucky nobody was in the vehicle at the time. The Alpes-Maritimes remains on a yellow weather alert due to rain-flooding and thunderstorms.
