Shrimp larvae washed up on the beaches of Juan les Pins and Golfe Juan - Local authorities say they have no idea as to why some beaches in Juan les Pins and Golfe Juan have been covered in shrimp larvae. Their colour almost blends into the sand, but no reason has been given as to how they have washed up on the beaches in our region. One possibility would be lost cargo from a fishing boat. It is normally at this time of year that small purple jellyfish wash up on the beaches of the Côte d'Azur, which once dead give off a very strong and unpleasant smell.
