Strike action by driving instructors - Driving instructors across France have announced strike action today with an "operation escargot" taking place in the region. Roads are expected to be affected as instructors protest against the government's reforms to the profession which has sparked anger from several unions. There are 190 driving schools in the Alpes Maritimes which employ about 500 people.
