Monaco state introduces « exceptional minimum income »

The State Services in the Principality are implementing today the « Exceptional Minimum Income » a measure announced by the Government to help self-employed workers who suffer a drop in their activity impacted by the Covid-19 crisis, to the point of depriving them of all resources.

In this unprecedented economic situation, a Minimum Income of a fixed amount of 1800 € will be granted to the self-employed according to certain conditions provided.

The Ministerial Order specifies that those eligible for the Minimum Income, include any natural person who exercises, in the Principality of Monaco, a self-employed professional activity (craft, industrial, commercial, liberal), in their own name, which does not appear in the activities referred to in article 2 of the Ministerial Decision of March 18, 2020.

The request for « exceptional Minimum Income » must be accompanied by a certain number of documents and certificates, the list of which can be consulted on the Government’s website.

To make it easier for those concerned, a page dedicated to this system is available online today, on the link www.spe.gouv.mc, under Covid-19.

The complete request must be sent exclusively by email to covid19rme@gouv.mc at the Welcome Office - Cell Covid-19 Entreprises. The Welcome Office Service will not fail to respond to the requester by email, and will notify them of their eligibility.

Wednesday, April 1, 2020

The Welcome Office will then take care of making payment requests to the General Treasury of Finances, on behalf of eligible applicants. Beneficiaries will receive their payment by bank transfer.
