Fuel tax - Following a meeting with MP’s this morning the French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe plans to suspend the rise on fuel tax. Abolishing the rise on fuel tax has been one of the main demands of the “Yellow Vest” movement which has led to violent protesting across France over the past two weeks. French media has said that changes to other measures, especially on purchasing power will also be announced.
