The man who allegedly drove his car into pedestrians on the Ile d’Oleron has said that he regrets his actions, according to the local prosecutor. The prosecutor said that the case has not been referred to the national Anti-Terrorist Prosecutor’s Office because there was no link to a terrorist organization or to individuals known to the intelligence services.

Four people have been taken into custody following disturbances at a performance of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in Paris last night. Organisers of the concert said that audience members had interrupted the performance three times, including twice using smoke bombs. Interior minister Laurent Nunez condemned the incidents and called them “totally irresponsible”.

Over a billion euros is set to be invested in new trains on lines which operate an overnight service, including the Nice to Paris line. Transport Minister Philippe Tabarot said that from the early 2030’s, or possibly from 2029, new trains would replace what he called the current “aging equipment”. It’s currently planned that the eight night train lines across the country will be opened to private sector competition by 2030.

Some of our region’s ski resorts have seen their first snowfall of the season. Isola2000 [pronunciation: Isola Deux Mille] and Valberg received a light dusting of snow today. It’s a few weeks before they’ll be open to skiers though, with Isola currently planning to open on 6 December and Valberg on 20 December.

The first video game museum in France is set to open in Paris. It’s creator said that it will be entirely dedicated to the history, culture and legacy of video games as well as their influence on society.
