France’s Minister of Health ready to increase the consultation fee for GPs "as soon as the needs of the French are met".

Doctors fee - France’s Minister of Health says he is ready to increase the consultation fee for GPs "as soon as the needs of the French are met". François Braun however ruled out the possibility that the consultation fee could be increased up to 50 euros, as demanded by the strikers. The Minister of Health said he was ready to increase the amount of the consultation of liberal doctors but that he wants the 650,000 French people who are chronically ill to have a doctor, because they currently don't have one". The liberal doctors have called for action today in the French capital. The Doctors for Tomorrow collective, supported by several unions (FMF, UFML, SML and Young Doctors), hopes to see several thousand demonstrators.
