Flames hit traveller’s camp in Marseille - Fifty firefighters have been mobilised in Marseille after flames hit a traveller’s camp, near the La Pomme train station. Around fifty firefighters were mobilized, and 14 people, including 6 children, were evacuated. The smell of burning that spread as far as the Prado. The fire broke out at around 7am this Wednesday morning in the 11th arrondissement of the city.  Vegetation also caught fire, and a terraced house was evacuated as a precaution, without being damaged. The fire was brought under control and close to being extinguished shortly before 8 a.m.
