Film director Jean-Luc Godard has died at the age of 91

Jean-Luc Godard dies at the age of 91 - French President Emmanuel Macron has paid tribute to Film director Jean-Luc Godard, who revolutionised French cinema, after it was announced this lunchtime, that he has died at the age of 91. Macron referred to him as having “the vision of a genius". Godard burst onto the scene with 1960's À bout de souffle (Breathless), which started a run of acclaimed films that rewrote the rules of cinema. His work brought a new verve and daring to cinema and influenced directors from Quentin Tarantino to Martin Scorsese.
