Exhibition at the Mucem in Marseille - An unprecedented exhibition at the Mucem in Marseille offers an opportunity to discover the secrets of the the pharaohs and is on until October 17th.  Why is Tutankhamun one of the most famous pharaohs in the world when he reigned only a few years and died at the age of 19 over 3,000 years ago? It was in fact the discovery in 1922 of his incredible tomb and his famous golden funerary mask that made him a legend. This is one of the stories told in the amazing Pharaohs Superstars exhibition, presented at the Mucem in Marseille.

Through 300 works from the greatest French and European museums, visitor can discover the history of these kings and queens and why some have fallen into oblivion while others have become key figures in popular culture. Pharaons Superstars, is on until October 17 at the Mucem, 7 promenade Robert Laffont - 13002 Marseille - every day except Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (and 8 p.m. from July 9 to August 30).
