And - SEC Chair Gary Gensler announced he will step down on January 20, the day of President-elect Trump's inauguration, after Trump's pledge to remove him over crypto enforcement actions. Gensler's tenure, marked by a crackdown on the crypto industry, contrasts sharply with Trump’s pro-crypto stance. Cryptocurrencies have surged following Trump’s election win, signaling a potential policy shift under the new administration.
