Emmanuel Macron to meet with Boris Johnson

Emmanuel Macron to meet with Boris Johnson – It will be a busy political comeback for Emmanuel Macron after his holiday in the South of France. After today’s meeting with Vladimir Putin in Brégançon, in the Var the French president will welcome Boris Johnson at the Elysee Palace on Thursday 22nd August. The meeting, scheduled for lunch at the presidential palace, will be the first since the new prime minister took office on July 24th. In the 2016 referendum, the former mayor of London was one of the strongest supporters of the UK's exit from the European Union. Brexit will be mentioned, a few days after the leak in the British press in a "no-deal" scenario. Bilateral relations and major international issues will also be on the agenda, ahead of the G7 summit in Biarritz.
