British skier dies at popular French ski resort

British skier dies at popular French ski resort - A British skier has died after a collision with another UK tourist in Les Arcs, a popular ski resort in the French Alps. The accident occurred at around 10.30am on Tuesday morning. The 62-year-old unnamed British woman is said to have crashed head-on into a 35-year-old British man on a “black” slope for advanced skiers, after losing control of her skis and died following the crash. She was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services. According to local reports the British man, who was stationary at the time of the collision, suffered from a broken leg and was transported to a local hospital. Both victims were reported to be wearing helmets. An investigation is being carried out to determine the exact cause of the accident.
