Fire breaks out at town hall in Paris - A massive fire has broken out in the early hours of this Monday morning at the 35-meter-high spire of the town hall in Paris's 12th arrondissement, with 153 firefighters working to contain the blaze as the tower's collapse remains a threat. Firefighters were alerted around 3.20am after the 35-meter-high spire of the town hall in the 12th arrondissement was engulfed in flames. More than 150 firefighters have been mobilized to control the fire, which did not cause any casualties or injuries. On social media, several Internet users shared images of the spire completely engulfed in flames. Emmanuelle Pierre-Marie, the mayor of the 12th arrondissement, went to the scene and expressed her emotion at the disaster that has hit the historic building. The fire has now been brought under control.
