Daytime temperatures are forecast to reach between 30 and 32°C in the Alpes-Maritimes and up to 36°C in the Var, with nighttime temperatures not dropping below 20°C, especially along the Mediterranean coast. The heat is expected to intensify over the weekend, possibly bringing isolated thunderstorms in mountainous areas.

Forecasters predict more widespread heat from Sunday onwards. The heatwave is likely to continue into next week, but experts say it’s too early to determine how long it will last or how intense it will become.
