Unesco - His Serene Highness Prince Albert II of Monaco has received a distinction at the Unesco Headquarters for his outstanding contribution to the promotion of climate change, biodiversity and oceanographic research. The International Geodesic and Geophysical Union (IUGG) has just celebrated its 100th anniversary, this international non-governmental scientific organization, created on July 28, 1919, is dedicated to the advancement, promotion and communication of knowledge about the Earth system, its space environment and the dynamic processes driving change.
