Tobacco free month

Tobacco free month - Smokers in France are being encouraged to stop smoking for the “tobacco free month” of November. For a fourth consecutive year French smokers are invited to get help and encourage each other to stop smoking. The "mois sans tabac" launched by the Ministry of Health says that  "Participating in a collective movement makes it easier to stop".

According to figures released at the end of the last November more than 241,000 people had registered. The challenge of the operation is also to make known all the tools available in the fight against tobacco, which is the leading cause of preventable death with 75 000 deaths per year in France.
