BUSINESS
US stock markets fell sharply as Trump's tariffs on Canada, Mexico, and China sparked fears of a trade war. Canada and China retaliated with their own tariffs, while analysts warned of higher prices, economic slowdowns, and job losses. Trump insists tariffs will boost US manufacturing, but businesses and global markets remain wary.

Tesla is preparing to enter the Indian market, hiring staff and scouting for showrooms in Delhi and Mumbai. However, high prices, road conditions, and competition from local brands like Tata Motors could limit its success. While India is pushing for EV growth with subsidies and lower import duties, Tesla may initially focus on luxury sales rather than local manufacturing.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau condemned Trump’s new 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico, calling them "very dumb" and warning of a trade war. In response, Canada imposed retaliatory tariffs on $107 billion worth of U.S. goods, while provincial leaders threatened further economic measures. Experts warn the tariffs could raise consumer prices, cost jobs, and damage trade relations, with the auto industry and energy sectors among the hardest hit.

And - Tesla's sales in Germany plunged 76% in February compared to last year, with only 1,429 cars sold, despite overall EV registrations increasing. This follows a decline in January amid controversies surrounding Elon Musk.

Rugby Union - Ireland scrum coach John Fogarty says the prospect of France choosing seven forwards on their bench in Saturday's Six Nations meeting will not change their own selection plan much. The Springboks became the first tier-one side to adopt the 7-1 bench split during preparations for the 2023 World Cup, later doing so at the tournament in the pool stages against Ireland.

Golf - Tiger Woods is a doubt for the Players Championship after saying his "heart is really not into practising". The 15-time major champion missed the Genesis Invitational in February following the death of his mother earlier in the month.
