Three-day diplomatic marathon for HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco - HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco is in New York for a three-day diplomatic marathon as part of the United Nations General Assembly and its Climate Ambition Summit. Prince Albert arrived on Monday morning and participated in the opening of the Summit on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, before co-chairing with the President of Seychelles an event on the theme of ocean sciences. The Prince also granted private audiences and participated in a Princess Grace Foundation reception in the evening.

Today, Tuesday 19th September, the Prince will speak at a breakfast on “Sport in the service of nature” and then attend the United Nations general debate where the presidents of Brazil and the United States are expected to take to the podium. Joe Biden will this Tuesday evening, hold his traditional reception at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Prince Albert will also attend the Earthshot Prize Summit. Created by Prince William, a global environmental prize which aims to discover, accelerate and develop revolutionary solutions to repair and regenerate the planet. Michael Bloomberg and Bill Gates are also expected to be present. The Prince is also scheduled to meet separately with the President of the Republic of Korea and the Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia. Wednesday will be an equally busy day for the sovereign who, at the invitation of the Belgian Prime Minister, will sign a declaration "to create a political dynamic to accelerate the ratification of the treaty on the high seas (signed last June)". After a private audience, the Prince will finally be expected at the podium of the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit to deliver his speech.
