Ferry passenger airlifted to hospital - A passenger on board a ferry from Tunisia to Marseille has been airlifted to hospital in Toulon. The man of Tunisian origin had suffered from a broken leg on Wednesday. The rescue operation took place less than 200 km from Marseille.

Former first deputy of Carros found dead - The former first deputy of the city of Carros in the Alpes Maritimes, Yvan Remond has been found shot dead. Emergency services intervened on Wednesday afternoon and confirmed that the body of a man of about 50 years old discovered on a footpath was indeed that of Yvan Remond. An investigation is currently underway.

Two yachts frozen on the French Riviera - Two yachts of a Russian oligarch have been frozen on the French Riviera. The two vessels estimated at 4 and 1.2 million euros were frozen in Antibes and Cannes. According to local media they belong to influential Russian businessman Alexei Kuzmitchev who is considered as "one of the most influential people in Russia with well-established ties to the Russian president" and "is also an influential Russian businessman involved in economic sectors which constitute a substantial source of income for the Russian government”.

Terminal 1 reopens - Terminal 1 at Nice Côte d'Azur airport is to reopen on Sunday 27th March, after two years of almost uninterrupted closure. The Reopening which will launch the summer season with more than a hundred destinations on offer. The objective is to return to the level of attendance before the pandemic, in 2019, nearly 14.5 million travelers passed through Nice Côte d'Azur airport. The terminal will serve 52 destinations, to 29 countries.
