Training exercise for SMS alert device in Biot and Villeneuve Loubet region

Training exercise for SMS alert device in Biot and Villeneuve Loubet region - If you live in the municipalities of Biot and Villeneuve-Loubet, you may receive an SMS from the FR-Alert system, but authorities have said “not to panic” as this is part of an exercise being carried out by the town halls in the “framework” of the risk of “forest fires”.  The Prefecture has specified in a press release, that it is a training exercise in crisis management. The SMS will be sent in French and English between 2.30 and 3.30pm this afternoon and will be preceded with the words "Exercice-Exercice-Exercice. Test FR-Alert - Préfecture des Alpes-Maritimes" and will indicate the action to be taken in the event of a real fire.

The device launched by the French State and deployed throughout France makes it possible to warn any person holding a smartphone that they are in a danger zone (natural disaster, biochemical accident, attack, etc.) and to inform them of the risk, its location and to specify in time real, how to get to safety.
