Road accident

Accident - Two accidents in each direction of the A8 motorway this morning, has totally paralyzed traffic. Two accidents, occurred in both directions of traffic on the A8 motorway between Cannes and Villeneuve-Loubet, causing significant traffic jams. A first accident took place 2 kilometres from the Villeneuve-Loubet exit, in the direction of Var, before 10 a.m. Two cars and a truck were involved.  At the same time, a second accident took place between the exits of Mougins and Antibes, when two cars collided.

Meanwhile traffic has been heavily disrupted mid-morning on the RD558 in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez in the Var, after a truck tipped over blocking the entrance to Port-Grimaud. The heavy goods vehicle became unbalanced on the RD558, causing the vehicle to stop at the entrance to the interchange which gives access to Port-Grimaud.
