Recall on bottles of milk

The French government platform Rappel Conso has launched a recall campaign involving hundreds of bottles of milk. The procedure was launched "following feedback from their consumers concerning an alteration in taste and smell". The alert concerns milk bottles produced by the firm Candia.

Several brands are concerned, namely the Candia Malin Maxi Pack (1L bottle, X8 pack), Grandlait semi-skimmed (1.5 L X4, 1L x6, 1L X8, x10 pack), Grandlait Pleine Saveur (1L bottle, x6 pack), Silhouette émmé (1L bottle, x6 pack), Viva (1Lx6 and X8 bottle).

The milk bottles affected by this recall have a minimum durability date between November 21st, 2023 and May 17th, 2024. These have been put up for sale by a large number of French outlets: Auchan, Intermarché, Francap, Leclerc, Carrefour, Système U, Provera, Métro, Casino (Casino, Vival, Spar), Monoprix, Proxy and Maximo.

The government website recommends those who have purchased bottles concerned not to consume them, but also to bring them back to points of sale to obtain "compensation in the form of a discount voucher". If the consumer fails to return it to the store, they must destroy the product. A telephone number (09 69 32 09 92) has been set up to contact customer service.
