Petition against possible F1 Grand Prix in Nice

Petition against possible F1 Grand Prix in Nice - A petition has been launched against the possibility of a F1 Grand Prix in Nice. According to F1 boss Stefano Dominicali, the city of Nice is a serious contender as a track to host a F1 GP. The possibility had been mentioned during an interview and at present the current contract for the Grand Prix de France at Le Castellet, in the Var, is still being renegotiated. However, in the Alpes-Maritimes, the Collectif Citoyen 06 has launched a petition to say "no to the French F1 Grand Prix project in Nice”. This citizen group has put forward the environmental arguments against the project. So far, the petition has gathered nearly a thousand signatures.
