No Finish Line 2023

No Finish Line 2023  - The proceeds from the No Finish Line 2023 have been donated to various projects supported in favour of sick and disadvantaged children in Monaco, France and internationally. The 24th No Finish Line (NFL) took place from November 11th to 19th. The event mobilized 10,428 participants covering 315,561 km. A distance transformed into euros donated by the Children & Future association to finance various projects in favour of sick or disadvantaged children. The amount collected was used to support 36 projects in the Principality and France but also in Europe, Africa and Asia.

Amongst them, locally was the Monaco Humanitarian Collective (MCH) to finance paediatric cardiac interventions in Monaco and Africa. Since its creation 15 years ago, more than 515 children have been taken care of in the Principality but also in countries with agreements with the Department of International Cooperation, such as Burkina Faso, Senegal and Mali. The Monaco Scientific Centre received the sum of 20,000 euros to help finance the clinical trial initiated by the Flavien Foundation for a new molecule transposed to paediatric brain tumours. Also in Monaco, Children & Future financed the purchase of a second ski tandem to the tune of 9,242 euros to allow children with reduced mobility to enjoy the joys of skiing. This tandem is managed by the Monegasque Ski Federation for the benefit of families and associations.

In France, the funds raised at the NFL are also used to finance projects beyond Monegasque borders. In France, 9,688 euros were donated to the Institut Médico-Educatif les Hirondelles in Biot for the purchase of a wheelchair swing. This Red Cross site welcomes children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities and multiple disabilities. In addition, 8,000 euros were paid to the Adrien Association for its holiday centre dedicated to sick children and their parents in order to strengthen family ties. This centre located in Pégomas welcomes children undergoing chemotherapy from Lacassagne hospital. The same amount was also dedicated to supporting Club Moana in Cagnes-sur-Mer by participating in the purchase of a compressor allowing young people with specific needs to do scuba diving sessions.

Finally, internationally a little more than 13,000 euros were devoted to a virtuous greenhouse project installed in a school in Armenia to enable the establishment's food autonomy, 15,000 euros was paid to Samu Social in Burkina Faso for street youth and 13,850 euros will be used to purchase tents aimed at setting up schools in Morocco as well as financing mud houses for families following the earthquake. Finally, in Nepal, Children & Future allocated 15,000 euros to purchase, among other things, computer equipment and educational games for the Jay Lord Buddha nursery school in Bardiya. For the Pramod school (north Kathmandu) and the Saru school in Chaughada, 5,000 euros will be used to purchase insulating equipment to prevent children from suffering from the heat in summer and the cold in winter.  Since the start of the No Finish Line in Monaco, more than 185,000 people have come to run or walk and have covered more than 4,800,000 km. More than 5 million euros were collected and donated to various associations that work with children. The next edition of this humanitarian race will take place from November 16th to 24th.
