Nice offers a €5,000 bonus to police officers to boost morale and recruitment

Nice offers a €5,000 bonus to police officers to boost morale and recruitment - Nice is offering a deal for its municipal police officers with a new bonus plan designed to reward their hard work and attract fresh recruits. Since January, officers can receive up to €5,000 annually, with a fixed €2,500 portion and a variable amount based on hours, on-call duties, and level of responsibility. The initiative, approved by the Nice City Council, aims to increase officers’ salaries by about 15% per year and ensure the city stays competitive in the tight national market for law enforcement. In addition to the bonus, Nice plans to expand its police force from 550 to 600 officers by the end of 2025 and is constructing a new police headquarters to consolidate municipal and national forces.
