News update on fatal incident at Monaco train station

Monaco train station has reopened following the tragic incident which occurred this Monday morning when a 40-year-old woman was hit and killed by a train coming into the station. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances. Train traffic was able to resume at 11:24am but many delays and cancellations are expected on the Nice-Ventimiglia line.

A psychological unit has been set up for shocked passengers. The scene unfortunately took place during this morning’s rush hour at Monaco train station, unfolding in front of hundreds of passengers. A support unit has also been launched on 0800.120.821.
