TousAntiCovid application - From tomorrow Wednesday June 9th, to access the interior of a restaurant, bar or gym, customers will have to provide their contact details or use the TousAntiCovid application. Tomorrow many places that have been closed for months, such as sports halls or bars, will once again be able to welcome the public indoors. But the reopening is accompanied by an additional health protocol as to access these closed places, it will be necessary to register in a notebook allowing you to be contacted in the event of contamination.

The TousAntiCovid application which uses a QR code is a different system from that of the health pass, which aims to certify a vaccination, a negative screening test or a recovery from Covid-19 to access certain major events.

How does it work? - If you decide to use the digital version of this device, you will need to open the TousAntiCovid application on your phone, click on the "scan a QR code place" button in the "reminder notebook" category, then take a picture of the QR code that the establishment will have made available to customers. You will then be considered to be present for two hours in the establishment.

If another customer who has also scanned the establishment's QR code during this two-hour period later declares positive for covid via the application, you will receive an "orange alert" notification inviting you to be tested, and limit your contacts while waiting for the result. There is also a "red alert" notification, which corresponds to a scenario where three people present in the establishment at the same time as you have tested positive. It is advisable in this situation to be tested as quickly as possible.

Scanning the QR codes of your favorite bars with a government application can legitimately make you fear that the Minister of Health, is informed of your drinking or dining out habits. This however, is not the case. The TousAntiCovid application does not use the GPS chip in your phone.

Nurse suspected of providing false covid vaccination certificates - A nurse at the Sainte-Anne hospital in Paris is suspected of having drawn up and received money for false covid vaccination certificates. The nurse, who had been working at the anti-Covid vaccination center at the Sainte-Anne hospital in Paris since January, has since been suspended. The management of the GHU in Paris specifies that it was a "sudden change in the behaviour of the nurse" that aroused suspicion.

Health pass - Meanwhile the health pass will also be required to access certain events. As mentioned this is different to the TousAntiCovid app. It shows that someone has been vaccinated, had a negative covid test or already had covid.

Here is the list of places for which all those over 11 years old will need a health pass to attend an event of at least 1,000 people, according to the decree of June 7:

- Conference halls and concert halls.

- Marquees, tents and similar structures.

- Artistic education establishments, when they welcome spectators.

- Games rooms,

- Commercial establishments intended for exhibitions, trade fairs or exhibitions of a temporary nature.

- Outdoor sports establishments other than zoological, amusement and theme parks,

Scientific council predicts “quiet summer” - Speaking on French television this morning Jean-François Delfraissy the President of the Scientific Council says he expects a “quiet summer” as far as the health situation is concerned but calls for  the French "to be careful" as in his opinion, when schools return in September, while it can’t be called a 4th wave, as there is now the vaccination, there will be a threat from the Indian variant of covid, similar to the situation currently in the UK.
