Lawyer denounces mayors decree

Lawyer denounces mayors decree - A lawyer has denounced a "decree on inappropriate clothing" on beaches, introduced by the mayor of Mandelieu. Following a warning issued on a beach in Mandelieu, a Marseille lawyer has filed an appeal against the "anti-burkini decree" of the town hall and denounces "the stubbornness of the mayor". For the lawyer, this is, without naming it, a new "anti-burkini" order that targets a certain community of bathers, in the meantime his client is taking it to court for violation of freedom of movement and freedom of conscience. The local police of Mandelieu fined three people on a beach, one of whom was wearing a headscarf rather than a cap. The case continues.
